The Company
SEAMAX AIRCRAFT LTDA. is a company that delivers innovative and competitive solutions of safety-critical and certified aeronautical systems for the civil and defense market based on the best and safest flying platforms from 0 to 5-seats. It was created on May 31, 2017, in the United States by engineer Gilberto da Cunha Trivelato. It transferred its headquarters to Brazil on July 10, 2017, with the entry of the eminent designer Miguel de Oliveira da Fonseca Rosário and the acquisition of Seamax M-22 aircraft intellectual property rights.
In order to meet these objectives, Trivelato made it a priority to resume and expand production and develop new aircrafts, such as unmanned vehicles, agricultural aircrafts and a 5-seat plane. The company established its production capacity by hiring and empowering employees and applied for approval from the ANAC - Brazilian Aviation Authority.
SEAMAX LLC. is a subsidiary in the United States, 100% (one hundred percent) controlled by the parent company. It holds all rights in the “Seamax” business in North America, whether for marketing, maintenance, and support of aircraft produced in Brazil or elsewhere.
SEAMAX AIRCRAFT EUROPE is a subsidiary in Portugal 100% (one hundred percent) controlled by the parent company. It holds all rights in the “Seamax” business in European territory, whether for manufacturing, marketing, maintenance, and support. Has a project in the Portugal2020 program to install a new factory in the city of Évora, Alentejo, Portugal, to produce Seamax M-22 and Seamax M-42 aircraft.
Presented in the Portugal 2020 program “Line of Systems of Incentive for Productive Innovation” a project number 72364 whose objective is the installation of the Seamax M-22 amphibious aircraft manufacturing plant, the development and certification of a normal two-seat aircraft, as well as the installation of its production in Évora, Alentejo Region, Portugal;
The Product
In 1998 Miguel Rosario, an engineer, designer and draftsman conceived his 22nd project, the Seamax M-22, an aircraft that became a worldwide success. Since 2001, Rosário dedicated his time and efforts to the development and prototype testing of the Seamax M-22.
The first M-22 aircraft was delivered in 2002. In 2004, the United States FAA introduced a new category for General Aviation, called Light-Sport Aircraft - LSA, in which Seamax was immediately classified. In 2008, the Seamax M-22 was certified by the FAA in the S-LSA category (Special Light-Sport Aircraft). In 2012 Seamax was awarded “Outstanding Best Commercial S-LSA” at the renowned Sun'n Fun Aviation Expo in Lakeland, Florida.
Today, after nineteen years of Research and Development and continuous improvements and enhancement, the Seamax aircraft is certified by Aviation Authorities in 19 countries and has sold 150 units in 20+ countries.
The Seamax M-22 has appeared on more than 40 specialized aircraft magazine covers all over the world and simultaneously became a model for FAA Certification standards for the LSA category.
